According to a study published in the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis, playing outdoor games regularly reduces the risk of developing blood clots by 39 per cent in women and 22 per cent in men. Researchers from Leiden University Medical Center in the Netherlands evaluated 7,860 people in the 18 to 70 years age group. In fact, the study's co-author said that women are even more likely to reap the benefits of regular sporting activities than men.
