Family refuses to bury dead child

It has been four days now that four-year-old Krishna Goraik died in Jorhat District of Assam. But the parents refuse to cremate or bury the body in the belief that the Almighty will restore life into the body seven days after the death. This uncanny and unusual event has taken place at Rowriah, a village in the tea estates of Jorhat where the child died under mysterious circumstances. Even as the neighbours are coming to offer their condolences, the family continues to offer religious rituals and prayers
