Fish farmers earn huge profits

Fish farmers in Tamil Nadu are giving a boost to inland fish farming. They are making best use of the available water resources in the region. Over 5000 farmers in Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri are engaged in fish farming business, under the self-employment scheme. Around 1000 ponds have been formed near various villages for fish farming where the farmers devote at least two hours a day tending the fish.
