Updated on Aug 05, 2011 10:37 pm IST
Several villages have been flooded due to a breach in the embankment of Fulohar River in Malda district of West Bengal. Even after 72 hours of breach, the conditions of the flood victims remain to be same even though the water level has dropped down. The district officials have already taken some initial steps to give some immediate relief to the flood victims. But the affected villagers are not happy with the work of district administration and claimed that they have got only one sheet of tarpaulin and no other facility has been provided so far.
