Gazetted officers protest Sonawane's killing

Gazetted officers across Maharashtra are on strike today in protest against the brutal killing of Additional District Collector Yashwant Sonawane at Manmad in Maharashtra. Yashwant Sonawane was burnt to death on January 25 by the oil mafia while conducting a raid. The Vice-President of the Secretariat Employee Union, Vishnu Patil, said they would fight till the state government does not give them security and assures that such incidents don't reoccur.
