Incessant rains recharge lakes in Bhimtal

After witnessing havoc caused by incessant rains earlier in Uttarakhand, locals of the area have realised that the rain was a boon for several dried up lakes in the area. Few days back, several people lost their lives due to landslides triggered by rains in the state. The rains have however, given a new life to at least seven lakes in Bhimtal area of The locals said the lakes add to the beauty of the area frequented by foreign and domestic tourists, and urged the state government to take measures for their upkeep.
