India on Saturday hosted French President Nicolas Sarkozy on its 59th Republic Day celebrations showcasing military might. Sarkozy was the guest of honour at the annual parade, hosted by Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and President Pratibha Devi Singh Patil. He joined thousands of spectators at the military procession to watch parading elephants, camels and tanks in a ceremony to mark India's military might.
