Indian federal government has decided to create a farmers relief fund with an initial corpus of 100 billion, to implement the farmers loan waiver scheme announced in the budget. Meanwhile, addressing farmers at Hulkoti on the third day of his four-day tour of Karnataka, Congress party's general secretary Rahul Gandhi said that blanket waiver of loans given to the farmers would be against sustainable development.
