India to impress upon Lanka to save civilians

India's External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee is heading for Sri Lanka on Tuesday, to impress upon the Rajapakse government to save the innocent civilians while LTTE struggle to defend their last remaining strongholds against the advancing Sri Lankan army. According to media reports during the two-day visit, Mukherjee is likely to meet President Mahinda Rajapaksa and Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama.
