Intense firing in Lal Chowk in Srinagar continues

The terror siege at the Hotel Punjab at Lal Chowk in Srinagar continued for the second day on Thursday morning. Two terrorists reportedly belonging to Jamiat-ul-Mujahideen (JUM) continue to be holed up inside the hotel. At least two security personnel and one civilian has been killed in the gun battle. While one security personnel belonged to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the other was from the state police force. The gun battle has also left 10 others including seven civilians injured. One of those injured is a cameraman of a national Hindi news channel.
