J and K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah resumes office

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah resumed office on Friday, a day after Governor N N Vohra rejected his resignation, which he had tendered over allegations by a senior PDP leader Muzaffar Hussain Baig of his being involved in the 2006 sex scandal case. Omar after assuming office told reporters his resignation and getting a clean chit thereafter was necessary to establish the respectability of politics and politicians
