Jagan Mohan Reddy resigns as Congress MP

Dissident Congress MP from Kadappa and son of former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Y. S. R. Reddy, Jagan Mohan Reddy resigned as MP and from the Congress party today. His mother, Vijayalaxmi, has also resigned as MLA from Pulivendula Assembly seat. In an open letter submitted to Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, he has expressed anguish over being sidelined in the party and has alleged that some Congress leaders were conspiring against him.Jagan Mohan Reddy has been at loggerheads with party leaders right after the death of his father in September last year.
