Law proposed to stop AIDS discrimination: PM

Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh said that the government proposes to enact a law to penalize people discriminating against an AIDS infected person. Releasing an AIDS Report of the Commission on AIDS in Asia, in New Delhi Singh called for giving 'serious consideration' to the proposed law. Singh also said that it is a matter of some satisfaction that's the situation in India is not as alarming as it was portrayed to be some years ago.
