A new twist has emerged in the government's latest security arrangements involving police and other crack outfits for the famed Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple at Thiruvanathapuram where priceless treasure trove was unearthed recently. Local devotees and others residing in the neighbourhood of this temple contend that they too have a role in preserving sanctity and security of the temple. As such these locals have volunteered to co-opt with the new security set-up by pointing out that they are aware about the regular visitors at the temple and can identify unknown and suspicious persons easily.
