At least 20 patients are feared dead after a devastating fire broke out in AMRI hospital in south Kolkata at 3:30 today morning. Nearly 20 fire tenders, who arrived at the site nearly two hours after the incident, are working hard to evacuate all patients and staff. Thick smoke is hindering the rescue operations. The fire fighters are using hydraulic ladders to rescue the patients trapped in the ICU, ICCU, ITU and Critical Care units and office staff by cutting open the glasses with gas cutters.
