Manmohan Singh calls for affordable litigation

Addressing the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Bar Association of India in New Delhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today urged the government, judiciary and the executive to work together to make litigation affordable and check the mounting costs of arrears in Indian courts. He further talked about the powers of the three organs of the State,the legislature, the judiciary and the executive. Singh said that none of the three organs would exercise their power more than what is specified by the Indian Constitution.
