Security personnel recovered landmines planted by Maoists in Palamu district of Jharkhand on Thursday. The recovery was made from national highway 15, which connects Daltonganj with the capital Ranchi. Meanwhile in Gaya, a group of Maoists attacked the residence of Janardhan Rai, a close relative of Uday Narayan Chaudhary, speaker of the legislative assembly. The armed rebels severely beat up Rai and even broke his limbs other than putting a part of the residence on fire.
