Monsoon session begins: PM Modi hopes for 'good decisions with varied debates'

The government hopes the monsoon session of Parliament, which began on Tuesday, will see some “good decisions” being made by lawmakers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said. Modi also said he is hopeful of a productive monsoon session since some political parties, during the last session, had assured the government of the smooth functioning of the House. A day before, Modi struck a cordial note and told the meeting of all political parties: "Let every issue be discussed in Parliament. Of all the forums available for expression of one's views, Parliament is the best."
