Nizamuddin village symbol of communal harmony

New Delhi, the national capital and a melting pot of cultures, on Monday reflects this happy synthesis, which is visible in cross faith attendance at various religious shrines in the city. An intersection of alleys and narrow lanes, Nizamuddin Village, is home to the Mausoleum of Nizamuddin Auliya. The mausoleum was built in 1562 in the memory of the great sufi saint Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya, who represented Chisti order of Sufism in Delhi Today devotees throng the mausoleum from all across the world irrespective of their faith.
