Nothing has been achieved with the help of gun: Omar

Updated on Aug 17, 2010 08:49 pm IST

Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah on Monday reiterated that the state is an integral part of India and no instigator of violence can disturb this. Omar said the adverse effects of gun and violence has engulfed Pakistan and there is immediate need for that country to join hands with India to fight terrorism, enabling the peace to prevail in the region. He disproved the attitude of certain separatist factions and the section of people indulging in pelting stones at the police personnel deployed to ensure public safety and security.
