Union commerce minister Anand Sharma has said that the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status, which is expected to be granted by Pakistan by this year-end, could deepen trade ties between the two nations. Meanwhile, Sharma denied Gujarat chief minister's claim and clarified that the central government has not imposed any tax on cotton.
