Poll panel member visits southern states

India's Election Commissioner Navin Chawla on Thursday reviewed poll arrangements in southern states of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Chawla, who is slated to take over as the Chief Election Commissioner next month, said that there would be zero tolerance on violation of the election code. Meanwhile, in Hyderabad, Regional Telugu Desam Party chief N. Chandrababu Naidu complained of phone tapping on directions of ruling Congress party leaders.
