President will be UPA -Left nominee says PM

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has asserted that the next President will be a nominee of the ruling UPA-Left joint alliance. Speaking to the media on board the special aircraft bringing him back from the G-8 summit in Germany, Singh said he expected the Opposition to support the candidate. Meanwhile, Singh also rubbished domestic opposition to a landmark nuclear deal with the US.
