Protest over Bangla war crime verdict continues

During the fifth day of the protest in Bangladesh, over the verdict handed to Jamaat-e-Islami senior leader Abdul Quader Mollah, who was expected to be given a death sentence for the 1971 war crimes but was given life imprisonment, police fired rubber bullets at hundreds of activists. A Bangladesh war crimes tribunal sentenced 64 year old Mollah, to life in prison on February 05, the second verdict in trials that have reopened wounds about the country's independence war and sparked riots. Most Bangladeshis had expected a death sentence to be handed to Mollah.
