SAD seeks NHRC's intervention in 1984 riots case

A delegation of Shiromani Akali Dal led by Sukhbir Singh Badal met Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission or NHRC in New Delhi on Wednesday, urging their intervention in the prolonged 1984 anti-Sikh riots cases. Badal said that the central ruling Congress party-led government has failed to bring to justice those responsible for attacks on Sikhs after the assassination of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi 25 years ago.
