Security has been beefed up in and around the holy shrine of Ajmer Sharif in Rajasthan state for the Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. A number of ambulances have been deployed at the site. CCTV cameras have also been installed. For the first time, an x-ray security screening system is being used to screen objects at the entry of the shrine. Compared to last year, more policemen are present at the venue this year to ensure that the devotees visiting the shrine do not face any problem.
