Security forces break 'human wall' in Maoist-seized village

Advancing security forces lobbed tear gas shells and made a baton charge to break a 'human wall' put up by Maoist cadres, at Lalgarh as the Communist State Government launched a massive operation on Thursday to free the region of left extremists. Hundreds of police have been deployed to push back the Maoist rebels who declared a "liberated zone" close to Kolkata, sparking unease among investors in the communist-ruled state.
