Separatists call for shutdown in Kashmir, normal life disrupted

Normal life across Jammu and Kashmir's summer capital Srinagar was marred on Saturday because of separatists calling a shutdown to mark the death anniversaries of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Founder Mirwaiz Muhammad Farooq and Hurriyat leader Abdul Gani Lone.The shutdown was called by separatist leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who urged people to observe the day in the remembrance of the leaders. The Paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force has been deployed all over the region to keep the peace.
