SFI leader's death triggers protests in Kolkata

The death of a 23-year-old SFI leader, Sudipto Gupta, allegedly injured in police crackdown has triggered protests in Kolkata. It was alleged that the student died after he was "brutally hit by policemen on his head and face" that led to his fall from the moving bus on which he was being taken to jail. However, the police have claimed that he fell from the vehicle accidently.
