Sonia Gandhi calls PM Modi's poll promises 'hawa baazi'

Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's poll promises were merely 'hawa baazi' as most of them have remained unfulfilled. Gandhi was speaking at the meeting of Congress workers where she also appreciated the efforts of Congress workers in intensifying their agitation against the land bill after which the government was forced to withdraw the anti-farmer amendments in the bill. Meanwhile, Sonia Gandhi's tenure as the Congress President has also been extended by one year.
