Sports Minister Ajay Maken on Sunday said that the Sports Development Bill would prevent corruption in sports administration. While felicitating sports personalities from West Bengal at a function in Kolkata, Maken said the Bill envisages a lokayukta for speedy resolution of sports-related disputes and also to check irregularities. Bill, proposed to be introduced by the government in the ensuing monsoon session of parliament, includes establishment of a national sports development council headed by an eminent sportsperson and role delineation between the National Sports Federations (NSFs), Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the government, besides other provisions.
