Jammu and Kashmir is known for its natural beauty. It is also known for religious tolerance and harmony between different communities that live in the region. This culture is the result of a synthesis of different religious beliefs and practices over centuries. It is also known as Kashmiriyat. Sufi saints in the state played an extremely important role in its development. Their shrines are held in high esteem by all faiths and communities even today. They are, in fact, symbols of human unity and brotherhood. One such shrine that attracts people of different faiths is that of Sai Ilahi Baksh in Loran located close to the Line of Control.
