Tamil politician criticises New Delhi on Sri Lanka issue

A regional political outfit in Tamil Nadu on Saturday came down heavily on New Delhi for not doing enough to stop the Sri Lankan offensive on rebel hideouts in the island nation. India has been demanding protection of Sri lanka's Tamils, who are closely linked to 60 million Tamils in Tamil Nadu, across a narrow strait from Sri Lanka. Last week, Indian Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee visited Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
