Pushed back by a spate of graft cases like the 2G spectrum allocation scam and subsequent arrest of party leaders including his daughter, DMK Chief, M. Karunanidhi said the ties between his party and the ruling Congress would not be affected. While addressing the mediapersons in the concluding session of the party conclave in Coimbatore on Sunday, Karunanidhi reassured that the alliance with Congress is safe. He also added that though A. Raja and Dayanidhi Maran have resigned from their posts as central cabinet ministers but still his party would not fill the vacant seats. He also said that DMK is not disappointed with the entire Congress brass but with some of its leaders who are against DMK.
