Tourists visiting Kochi have a reason to rejoice as the city's old grand houses built by affluent sections during the colonial period are being converted into tourist homes. The tourists visiting them get to experience the old world charm with a touch of modernity. Fort Kochi has a number of old homes, which are now turned into tourist homes. Jews, Portuguese and Dutch settlers once inhabited these grand houses during colonial era.
