Tourists flee Darjeeling due to strike

Tourism in Darjeeling has been affected due to an instant strike called by Gorkha Janamukti Morcha on Saturday till Monday protesting against violence at Panighata near Kurseong. Activists and supporters of the Gorkha Janamukti Morcha had clashed with their rivals Gorkha National Liberation Front on July 10. The strike has paralysed the town and tourists are fleeing the hills.
