BJP senior leader Uma Bharati on Thursday clashed with the authorities in Mahoba district, as she demanded the release of three RSS workers, who were arrested for allegedly distributing cash in Bharti's constituency. The incident took place hours before the fifth phase of polling in Uttar Pradesh. Bharti also protested and sat outside the police station and blamed that she and her supporters were being targeted after baseless charges were levelled by a Bahujan Samaj Party member. Mahoba, District Magistrate Muthu Kumar, said that an impartial investigation would be carried out and added that the decision would be taken after the enquiry.
