Indian shooters continue to hit the bull's eye as shooters Vijay Kumar and Gurpreet Singh bagged the first gold medal of the day on Thursday after winning the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol (pairs) event. This is India's 12th gold medal of the Commonwealth Games. Malaysia got the silver and Australia got the bronze. There was, however, bad news for the hosts in the women's 50 metres rifle three-position event, as world champion Tejaswini Sawant failed to qualify for the finals while her compatriot Lajja Gauswami finished sixth.
