VK Singh, separatists attend Pakistan Day celebrations

Pakistan embassy in New Delhi celebrated 75th National Day with full festive fervour on Monday. Minister of State for External Affairs Gen (retd) V K Singh made a brief appearance of about 10 minutes at the event hosted by high commissioner Abdul Basit at the Pakistani mission. He posed for photos with Basit and stood solemnly as the envoy made a speech. He then left without interacting with the guests. Several Kashmiri separatist leaders including, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, chairman of Jammu and Kashmir liberation front (JKLF) Yasin Malik and chairman of Kashmir separatist alliance - All Parties Hurriyat Conference - Mirwaiz Umar Farooq-were also present.
