Wal-Mart to step up rollout in India

Wal-Mart Stores Inc, the world's biggest retailer, will accelerate its rollout of wholesale stores in India over two-to-three years. However, Jain also spoke about the bottlenecks for the delay and challenges in the process of expansion plans of the retail giant in the country. Wal-Mart currently runs wholesale operations in India in an equal partnership with India's Bharti Enterprises. Wal-Mart recently opened its second wholesale outlet in Chandigarh, and will open its next wholesale centres in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Hyderabad.
