Watch: Lalu's Yoga Day wisdom for BJP
Updated on Jun 19, 2015 02:47 pm IST
Former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad has taken a swipe at the BJP-led government's much touted International Yoga Day celebrations, saying India's farmers and the poor don't need to practise yoga. In an exclusive interview, Prasad told Hindustan Times on Thursday famished and poor farmers won't benefit from yoga as they are already frail. He said the NDA government should focus on having its physically unfit party members practise yoga instead. He also said the BJP has hyped the International Yoga Day celebrations just to deflect attention from the controversies that have come to besiege its government.
