Even as voting is underway in West Bengal for the by-poll in the Jangipur parliamentary seat, President Pranab Mukherjee's son, Abhijit Mukherjee faces a tough task. The particular seat is significant as Abhijit faces his first Lok Sabha battle, contesting it on a Congress ticket. The question is, will Abhijit Mukherjee rise to the occasion? Apart from Abhijit, CPI (M)'s Muzaffar Hussain and BJP's Sudhangshu Biswas are also in the fray. Speaking to reporters, a local who had turned up to vote said that voting was his right as a citizen of the country and he wanted to exercise it. Meanwhile, Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Vijay Bahuguna expressed confidence that his son and Congress nominee Saket Bahuguna will emerge victorious from the Tehri parliament seat.
