Wife of govt official abducted by Maoists threatens self-immolation

Julie Bharati, wife of a government official abducted by Maoists in Jharkhand on Tuesday threatened self-immolation if her husband is harmed. Maoist rebels on February 13 abducted Prasant Layak, who is the Block Development Officer of Dalbhumgarh block. The rebels have demanded the release of 15 villagers who were arrested in East Singhbhum district on charges of supporting the Maoists.
