Iran has begun the construction of its new nuclear power plant amid tensions with the U.S. over sweeping sanctions imposed after Washington pulled out of the Islamic Republic's nuclear deal. According to Iran's state media, the new nuclear power plant will be built in the oil-rich Khuzestan province, near the border with Iraq.
