Iran has mocked Donald Trump and the U.S. military by weaponising JD Vance’s own memoir, Hillbilly Elegy, amid worsening tensions over the Iran conflict. Ghalibaf also claimed Iran is rebuilding its military capabilities while accusing Washington of being trapped in a “strategic dilemma” as negotiations lose momentum. The remarks came shortly after Vance insisted the conflict with Iran would not become another endless American war.
