Journalist Shireen killed amid raids by Israeli forces in West Bank

• A veteran Al Jazeera correspondent, Shireen Abu Aqla, was shot at and was later declared dead in the West Bank as clashes erupted during a raid by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank town of Jenin. Another journalist, working for the Jerusalem-based Al-Quds newspaper, was also injured in the clashes. A statement from Al Jazeera said: "In a blatant murder, violating international laws and norms, the Israeli occupation forces assassinated in cold blood Al Jazeera's correspondent in Palestine." The Israeli army confirmed it had conducted an operation in Jenin refugee camp early Wednesday, but firmly denied it had deliberately targeted a reporter. Watch this video for more details.
