PM Modi performs Ganga aarti after Varanasi roadshow; nomination on Friday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed Ganga aarti at the Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi after holding a mega roadshow. PM Modi was accompanied by Bharatiya Janata Party chief Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The Prime Minister is expected to file his nomination for election on April 26, 2019. Varanasi votes in the last phase of the elections, on May 19. Congress is fielding Ajay Rai, while the SP-BSP 'gathbandhan' has picked Shalini Yadav for the seat.
