‘Nonsense’: Priyanka Gandhi on notice to Rahul Gandhi on citizenship row

Congress General Secretary of Uttar Ptradesh East Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday defended brother and Congress president Rahul Gandhi after the government issued a notice to him asking to explain his position over complaints on his citizenship. “India knows Rahul Gandhi is Indian. People have seen him being born and grow up here,” she said. BJP MP Subramanian Swamy filed a complaint alleging Rahul Gandhi is a British citizen. Congress has, however, claimed that the notice is a political move by the BJP to divert attention of the public from key issues.
