Nearly 100 U.S. troops have been injured in Iranian airstrikes on bases in Jordan and across the Gulf since July 7, 2026, with CBS News reporting that “almost 100” personnel were deemed to have some degree of injury this month and Pentagon officials saying about 96% have already returned to duty after treatment for concussions and other minor wounds, even as the overall death toll in the U.S.–Iran war has climbed to 17 and more than 400 American service members have been wounded since the conflict began.
