'Aim is to construct 60,000 km of world-class national highway by 2024': Gadkari

- Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said he aims to build 60,000 kms of world-class national highway by 2024. The Road Transport Minister added that the highway will be built at the rate of 40 km per day. Gadkari was Speaking at the 16th annual conference on 'Road Development in India’. “My aim is to construct 60,000 km of world-class national highway by 2024. Recently, we have made three world records on road construction. The national highway construction rate is now 37km per day despite Covid,” he said.
